Profile/ Areas of Interest:

Jason has spent over 10 years working in the media industry. He started his career as a Radio Presenter with Power98 FM before becoming then-WKRZ 91.3FM's Assistant Vice President and Music Director.

Jason has also worked with record companies Avex Trax and Warner Music as Strategic Marketing Manager, responsible for putting together CD compilations, producing remixes and signing artists.

In 2010, Jason stumbled upon an opportunity to teach in China through a joint partnership Ngee Ann signed with Wuhan University of Science & Technology. What started as a 1-year posting to Wuhan became a 6-year stint after Jason fell in love all over again with Chinese culture and rediscovered his own ethnicity. Having returned to Singapore in 2016, Jason still remains a keen China watcher and zealously travels back to the Mainland several times a year (before Covid-19) to touch base with friends and keep abreast of China’s changing landscape and use of technology. Jason aspires to be a polymath and is a certified trainer and practitioner in TESOL, Cultural Intelligence (CQ), ICAgile facilitation and Industrial Relations.

Mr Adrian Phuah Wai Ann

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, Queensland University of Technology, Australia Diploma in Mass Communication, Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment, Institute of Adult Learning

Certified Cultural Intelligence Trainer (U.S Cultural Intelligence Center)

Profile/ Areas of Interest :

Adrian has more than 20 years of experience, in both the media as well as in education. Adrian started out by producing television programmes for companies such as UTV and ESPN Star Sports. He then crossed over to Corporate Communication with the Defence Science & Technology Agency and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He worked with the media, and was in charge of both new media and events management.

Adrian joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Interdisciplinary Studies as a lecturer in 2012. He taught a range of subjects that include Language, Communication, Contemporary Issues, Cultural Intelligence and Design and Innovation.

Adrian also spearheads the GO Global Initiative where overseas trips and webinars are conducted for students to better understand the national and social developments of countries in ASEAN and Asia.
